The most self-indulgent thing you will ever see
I was typing this on my tumblr but this might be appropriate for my blog too so whatever. No, let's keep this here, I think on there I'll only post a short explanation of my project.
So I might have to try to rewatch some Death Note stuff just to remind myself of some details... oh god it's hard to hate a main character so much. Guys I tried but I just can't ;-; He's terrible, as a character and as a person. The whole point of watching the whole thing was to see him suffer a little bit a the end (IT WAS NOT ENOUGH). But I want to remember some details of the story and setting itself for my fanfic/fancomic (not super important parts but still). I have his tags blocked everywhere on social media so I don't have to see him (lmao). And for some reason during the time he lost his memory of being awful he was even more annoying. Just so... "engomadinho". "Fingido de certinho". "Chato". "Mala", see in portuguese I can describe my dislike much better.
Anyways, for now I'm calling this thing "DNAU:Dreams". Deah Note AU: Dreams. Misa switches sides sort of, so it might be considered ooc. And yes it's completely self indulgent. But that is the whole point of making a fanfiction/fancomic. I'm gonna call it my AU, although it's a bit more like a canon divergence... so I can start to make more art based on it. Maybe tag it accordingly on tumblr too.
There are many characters I dislike a lot on a lot of things I watch and read. On Code Geass it's Suzaku. OH GOD why is he so annoying??? There are a bunch of GL couples I would love to like if I didn't dislike one of the characters too, like Adventure Time. I love Marceline, don't like Princess Bubblegum. Caitlyn and Vi from Arcane? Love Vi. But Caitlyn D: I wish I liked them! It sucks disliking them, it is not fun (aside from the small amounts of Light-bashing in my head I might add to Dreams heheh).
When I was a kid I did well enough at writing (in Portuguese), but after school I stopped. All writing turned to dissertation on this and that, so I never had a chance to try something creative like fiction again.
I did write the 2 chapters of my "I was a teenage Exocolonist" fanfiction. That I'm probably never finishing. Oh well. And the start of my original webtoon. That I did draw but... didn't continue.
I have this very useful advice for fanfiction I found online though that I wanna keep in mind:
Yep I'm writing the Blorbos from MY head lol. Still I hope it doesn't suck too much though. But Lawmane is so unpopular I doubt a lot of people are gonna be interested enough, so I'm doing this mostly for myself. (Sorry person who subscribed to the blog, I guess)
